Owning a boat in Florida requires high maintenance in order to keep it in its original condition. They require regular cleaning and detailing, whether in use or not. Their constant exposure to Ultraviolet rays cause oxidation on every exposed surface. Environmental pollutants and containments also cause deterioration of the gel coat. Most boats suffer a major decrease in value in the early years, mainly due to owners neglecting the proper maintenance they require. Protect your boat appropriately by waxing 3-4 times each year, and washing after each use. A quick spray down is not sufficient. Regular cleaning and detailing not only keeps your boat looking great, but also resists oxidation damage, ultimately increasing the life of your investment and assisting in resale.
Each vessel is thoroughly hand washed with a non-detergent soap to clean off salt, dirt and environmental pollutants . Seats, railings, tops and compartments are cleaned and non-skid deck is scrubbed down. Windows and moldings are treated with a liquid polymer protecting repellent.
The type of polish used depends upon the condition of the gel-coat. If the gel coat is in perfect condition with no oxidation and no machine polishing is needed, then our polymer sealant is used. If there is light to moderate oxidation, a light cleaner-polish and the high-speed machine polisher is required. For heavily oxidized boats, (where you will notice a chalk-like gel-coat), wet -sanding is usually required, then a heavy duty compound will be necessary to restore the original shine.
*Note: Without proper gel-coat protection, boats stored in direct sunlight will begin to oxidize within 3-4 months.
Once the gel-coat has been restored to its original shine the acrylic polymer sealant is applied to all gel coat surfaces; (Polymer sealant offers the longest lasting protection available, providing up to 6 months of UV protection).
Seats and other vinyl are conditioned with a leather protectant leaving them soft and supple, no harsh chemicals or solvents. Cockpit area, components and gauges are cleaned, polished and waxed. All aluminum railings and chrome are polished, cleaned and protected with sealant. Compartments and hatches are cleaned.
The interior is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected; including sleeping areas, kitchen, dinning area, restrooms and other areas, using a dry or wet wash method. All interior gel-coat is cleaned then protected with polymer sealant.
